How do I book a consultation?
The fastest way is our online scheduler — choose the consultation that fits you, pick a time, and you will receive a confirmation. If you prefer a person, call (713) 640-5651 and Zena will guide you through the same options and help you reserve a time. Your time is confirmed through our scheduling system either way.
Which consultation should I start with?
Most new clients near Houston begin with the In-Person Hair & Scalp Consultation ($99, 60 minutes). If you are outside Houston or prefer to start from home, the Virtual Hair & Scalp Consultation ($69, 30 minutes) is the natural first step. The Complimentary Discovery Phone Consultation is a brief, no-cost conversation for anyone still deciding, and the Deluxe Microscopic Hair & Cellular Investigation™ ($199, 90 minutes) suits long-standing or complex concerns. If you are unsure, describe your goals on our consultation page and the guided match will suggest one starting point.
When is someone available?
Our clinic team is available Tuesday through Friday, 10 AM–6 PM, and Saturday, 8:30 AM–2:30 PM. We are closed Sunday and Monday. The online scheduler is available at any time, and messages sent outside clinic hours receive a reply when the clinic reopens.
Is there a cost to talk with Zena?
No. Chatting with Zena, calling the clinic, and the Complimentary Discovery Phone Consultation are all free of charge. Fees apply only to the consultations and programs you choose to book.

What happens during my first consultation?
We begin with your history: what you have noticed, when it started, and what has changed along the way. Depending on the consultation you choose, this is followed by a structured scalp and hair evaluation. You leave with clear findings and a recommended starting point — never a guess.
Is this medical care?
No. Trichology is a non-medical field. We provide educational, investigative support for hair and scalp concerns — we do not identify medical conditions, prescribe medications, or provide medical treatment. If your situation calls for medical care, we will say so plainly and encourage you to see a licensed medical provider.
What should I have ready before my visit?
A simple timeline of what you have noticed helps most: when it began, what changed, and what you have already tried. If you use hair products, bring a list or photos of them. Write down your questions — Zena will help you gather these before your visit so your time is spent well.
What happens after my consultation?
You receive your findings and a personalized pathway: what we observed, what it may suggest, and a considered plan of in-clinic programs and home care where appropriate. From there, progress is reviewed and refined together over time.

Yes. Many clients begin virtually with the Virtual Hair & Scalp Consultation ($69, 30 minutes) and continue from home. Others plan a visit to Houston — clients travel to the clinic from across the country, and we help coordinate around your trip.
How does a virtual consultation work?
It follows the same investigative standard as an in-person visit, by video: your history, the changes you have noticed, and structured guidance on what to observe and photograph at home. You leave with findings and a recommended next step — without travel.
Can I start virtually and come in person later?
Absolutely, and it is a common path. Your virtual consultation becomes the foundation, so an in-person visit builds on what we already understand rather than starting over. Zena can help you plan the timing whenever you are ready.
