Scalp analysis is the part of the visit where guessing stops. Under magnification, density, follicle openings, strand calibre and surface condition become measurable rather than debatable.
What we can see
Magnified imaging shows how many strands are emerging from each follicle opening, how their thickness varies, and what condition the surface is in. Patterns across different areas of the scalp are compared rather than assumed.
Everything is captured, so your next visit is a comparison rather than a fresh opinion.
Why a documented baseline matters
Without a baseline, progress is a feeling. With one, it is an image from March next to an image from September.
This is the single most useful thing you can do before starting any program, including one you plan to do elsewhere.
This one has to be in person
Scalp analysis is the clearest reason to come to the clinic. No phone camera reaches the magnification required, and no photograph replaces moving the camera across the scalp while you watch.

Before you book.
Does scalp analysis hurt?
No. It is a camera at the scalp surface — nothing invasive and nothing uncomfortable.
Should I wash my hair beforehand?
Come with clean, dry, product-free hair where possible. Styles that cannot be taken down are fine — tell us when you book so we can plan the visit.
Do I get the images?
We review them with you during the visit and keep them on file so your next appointment can be compared directly against them.
How long does it take?
Imaging is part of the comprehensive in-person consultation, which runs about an hour in total.
Is this the same as the $7 AI scan?
No. The at-home AI scan is a quick screening from a phone photo. In-clinic scalp analysis is magnified imaging of the scalp itself, reviewed with you.
Can I have scalp analysis without committing to a program?
Yes. Many people come for the baseline alone.
How often should it be repeated?
Usually every few months, because that is the timescale on which hair actually changes.
